Year/Model: 1977 Ford
Description:
This is a 1977 ford f150 4wd short bed that has been completely restored. You will not find a nicer one listed. Nearly 500 documented hours were logged to restore this truck to its current condition. I spent 70+ hrs wet sanding and buffing it. The hood, fenders, doors and bed were stripped to bare metal and primmed with ppg high build and blocked after each coat. Then primmer sealed, then 3 coats of PPG base and three coats of PPG clear. Must see to appreciate. The interior was restored with a new headliner, new visors, new carpet, new seat belts, new radio/cd player and speakers, new printed circuit board and carrier for the instrument cluster with led lighting, new Ford floor mats, new door chime/buzzer, new foot well lights and new turn signal/dimmer switch. Heater/A/C: The heater box was completely rebuilt with all new foam on the doors and all new a/c lines, condensor and expansion valve replaced, leak tested and recharged with R-12 refrigerant........in 90 degree heat I had it cooling at 42 degrees!! New front bumper, new mirrors, all trim and front grill were polished extensively to a shine. This truck was virtually rust free that I started with, no rust or bondo in the cab corners at all or in the doors! I replaced the passenger side floor pan and the bed was rust free as well. It was a California truck. Also, all new windshield seal and back glass seal as well as a complete new weatherstripping kit for the doors was done. New wipers as well, engine bay is well detailed as seen by pics. Engine/drivetrain: The engine was completely rebuilt. It is a 400 bored .030 with a reman 400 crank, a lunati cam with the BOSS 351m/400 specs. Clevland 2v heads and edelbrock performer 400 intake and edelbrock 750 carb, new timing cover and chain, all new tune up parts and water pump. New harmonic balancer, custom pistons that have a raised pin height to bring compression up to about 9.5 to 1 and yes it runs on 93 pump gas The engine kit was set up/purchased through TIM Meyer INC. he specializes in these motors. I had all the oil mods done to the number 1 crank journel and special cam bearings that allow all parts of the motor to get oiled equally and maintain good pressure per T-Meyers recommendations. Engine was broke in on a stand professionally and puts out about 330 Hp. Just changed the oil and added ZDDP additive, new coolant, new heater core and all new hoses Exhaust: Dual 2 1/4 glasspack set up Drivetrain: New front and rear brakes, transfer case completely disassembled and inspected and all new seals and fluid, Amsoil fluid in the front and rear diffirentials installed, Transmission is a c-6, fluid flushed and new filter and pan gasket and bands adjusted and new selector shaft seal. New energy suspension front a-arm bushings/C-CUP bushings replaced. Yes, the 4wd works! AND NO YOU CAN'T TEST IT ON DRY PAVEMENT! Fuel system: New fuel lines and fuel tank and sending unit Wheels/tires: 87 f150 rims with new beauty rings and all new center caps, rims painted with PPG single stage argent silver, new tires 33x12.50x15
